Winter Tee


Winter is here, it can snow anytime now so stock up on your winter spices, lemons, limes, ginger and honey. You will need these warm spices to keep you warm and vitamin c from the limes and lemons to keep you away from cold. If nothing else this tee will give you a warm and cozy feeling of winter. We all love it at home. When the girls have cold, I also give them for school in this steel flask and they enjoy it. You can also make a big pot in the morning and keep it in the flask. Help yourself for the whole day.

Here is what you will need:


11/4  Litre water

Spices:
- a few coins of Ginger
- 1/2 tsp of Carmon seeds, Caraway seeds, Bishops weed,ajwain
- 1 stick of Liquorice, mulethi
- 4-5 peppercorns
- 2-3 cloves
- 2-3 green Cardamon pods
- a few small sticks of Cinnamon
- a few small grates of Nutmeg

Method:

1. Put the water in a steel Pan and let it boil.
2. Crush all the spices in a pestle and mortar and keep it aside.
3. When the water starts to come to a boil add all the spices to it and let it boil for about 8-10 minutes.
4. Sieve all the spices through a fine sieve and add honey for sweetness according to taste.
5. All the spices mentioned above will keep you warm in the winter and this tee also helps for coughs and colds.

You can vary the spices as per your liking and taste. If you like a few drops of fresh Lime juice can also be added to this tee.
