Mint Chutney

Mint Chutney is a delightful little side dish or a Condiment. It is bursting with flavour and it can be served with almost any Indian meal. Chutney plays a very important role in the Indian kitchen. It is super helpful in digestion because of the fresh lime, mint, cumin, ginger and black salt and it tastes amazing. I is a must to be served with fried food because all the fresh herbs and spices are very digestive too. You need this in very small portions.

Here is what you will need:

Ingredients:

- big handful fresh mint leaves (small pack from Migros/Coop)
- 1/2 an inch, piece of ginger
- 1green chili or to taste
- salt to taste
- a big pinch of black salt, if available.
- 1 tsp of cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp of natural yogurt
- juice of half lime

Method:

1. Wash the Mint leaves.
2. Pluck the leaves of Mint.
3. Add all the ingredients in a small mixer jar and make it into a fine paste.
4. Transfer it into a small glass bowl and serve it with fried pakoras, samosas, vatata veda or just as a small condiment on an Indian Thali.

You don't need to put water into it because when you wash the herbs, that keep enough water into it. The Chutney should be a bit thick and not too runny.
